This is the message I got after logging into...well what was my adsense account.

I am so confused and frustrated I'm not sure that I'm in the right frame of mind to even type this. It's a feeling from deep inside, heart wrenching, disappointing and so many adjectives I can follow up with, searching for 'the words' with clenched teeth.

I want to make money online and do it by not scamming, not hurting anyone in the process and so I went on the hunt searching the web for answers clicking on any ad that said 'make money online'. YES ! I did get bitten couple times from empty promises and ghosts on the web, but my losses were no where the amount I saw other marketers claimed. However it didn't take me long to come across an ad about making money with Google and so I started digging and plugging, glued to my computer for no less than 12 hours a day 'trying to make a decent living online', trying to get away from the abuse of BOSSES on a daily basis. And if it's not the boss it's the arrogant MANAGERS or SUPERVISORS.

There it was my freedom  -  Adsense for Search   

I was accepted into the adsense program in March of 2008, how happy I was to finally be apart of the Google team. I thought, Now I can earn some of the revenue Google get's, I thought this is going to be the changing time in my life, the time where you go from rags to riches, I even thought about having executive meetings with the mother of the internet, travelling to world wide conventions and business meetings.

 

My dreams where some what far fetched after trying to even make the price of a lollipop. My earnings were very small, most times none. This went on for some time while I literally grilled down the internet for answers on how to make money with Google adsense. I lost a lot of weight, the sun was now my enemy as I transformed from human into a night Owl or vampire if you may.  

Nights turned to days then back to nights, no money, no food, no social life. I thought this is it, it's back to the drawing board. Back to getting a job, working for the man, only to be victimized once again for the stagnant pay check while the owner gets fat off the profits of the hard labor of others.

Its now January 2009 and what a dull, uneventful and dry Christmas I had. But this particular morning, after weeping bitterly the night away, I was struck with an idea of a millionaire, well so i thought. It hit me like a ton of bricks. "I joined the adsense program to be apart of Google not to compete against Google" I thought out loud. Luckily because of my persistence on the web I learnt a thing or two about building simple websites and I knew a place where i can build and own websites for free.Google sites.

Know what I did ? I built a search engine resembling the Google home page, have a look :~ http://www.search-theweb.ca .

With this I can now distribute search engines to places that use computers on a daily basis. Places like schools, universities, offices, people in general. And all they needed to do was make my website search engine there home page for the internet. 

"And holy mother of the internet" it worked, I was now making money on the internet, even when i slept. I would wake up and there to my surprise was money showing in my account, varying, but enough to be relaxed. 

The  Google Threshold's

Anyone who has been using adsense and getting paid, they will know about the thresholds that google has in compliance with there program. First your account has to reach in excess of $100 before you can be considered to receive payments. When you reach this amount, Google will now send you a verification pin to your address on your account, then you have to enter your pin and they will send the payment to the address. Now this process takes at least 2 months to complete ! (getting the pin number) and if you have direct bank account payment....well it will take at least 1 month less. (still need to wait a while) However your adsense earnings will be accumulating in the time being.

My First And Only Google Check

I waited and waited, patently too. My face was drawn, I was looking scary but I was hanging on to dear life for that first check. That key to the doors of freedom.

I went to sleep one morning after being on the internet over night, doing the same thing I do every time, looking for answers, looking for the way, the light at the end of the tunnel. When I woke up 10pm that night to start my quest again, there under my basement door was a letter. I opened it not expecting anything spectacular and to my glaring eyes it was my first and soon to be my only Google check.

After months of advertising, boasting about Google safe search, how relevant it is, safe to use and securing internet home pages of students computers, school computers and office computers just to name a few, I tried logging into my adsense account one night and to my horror was the same message you read at the top of this blog:~

"Account Disabled

Your AdSense account for this login is currently disabled. We recommend checking your email inboxes for any messages we may have sent you regarding your account status"................ 

I hurried over to Hotmail and to my dismay Google disabled my account for invalid clicks. Could you imagine the horror, the weakness I felt at the time. I was crushed, just like a cockroach and for something I had no control over. I asked, how did that happen? I even refrained from using my own search engine so that Google does not get the wrong idea and do something like this. 

I was now stuck like a needle in hardened cement. No more income I thought to myself. Is this really going to be 'my first and only Google check' ?   O.M.G !! ~ W.T.F !!  ~ O.M.G !! ..............  

How Google Handles Invalid Click Activity  

Google themselves get invalid click activity on a daily basis. How they determine that a click is invalid is somewhat of a mystery to me, however, they deal with this by refunding the advertisers of there monies.

I search the web very often through Google.com homepage and sometimes when I click on a site, if it is not appealing to me or confusing or not what I was looking for, then i don't even bother going to another page. I click back to the same Google results page and go to another ad to find what I was looking for. Could you imagine how many people do this everyday and in different parts of the web ?  Now is that invalid click activity ? Did Google charge those advertisers for the clicks I just did ? Did they reimburse those advertisers ? we will never know.... We will never know.

I was once part of Google adwords until I lost a couple hundred dollars without a sale, so I really do understand the hardships with companies advertising on the web from wasted traffic. I built a site around the 'Pacman' niche with a couple gaming repair guides for sale from Clickbank and off course adsense.

This site was so beautiful you could not resist the large pacman screen. I advertised this site through Google adwords and within minutes I had over 300 clicks at a CPC of  .10cents(could not go lower)  - No adsense earnings - No Clickbank earnings.

I waited a couple more hours then checked everything again. I had in excess of 1000 clicks - No adsense earnings - No Clickbank earnings and my adwords costs jolted to over $100 in less than half a day. Now I appreciate the traffic, but not even a cent to my adsense??

I stopped my adwords in haste, hoping I would get reimbursed for what was clearly utter stupidness. IT NEVER HAPPENED ! so my money went directly to Google. Waoow ! No invalid clicks there !

Why Not To Disable Adsense Publishers Accounts

I am not disgusted with Google, just a bit disappointed. I'm just saying "what's good for the goose should be good for the gander". 

Face it, Google does see what gives on the internet. Innocent people get killed every day also, but in this instant Google has the power to over ride and replenish. So the same way they reimburse advertisers for what they call invalid clicks is the same way they can control and protect the adsense program instead of disabling accounts for events beyond the publishers reach and knowledge, as well as theirs. 

My advise to people wanting to make money on the web is:~ 

 

1.) Do not use Google Adwords to advertise, especially if you are not already making millions   annually. You WILL loose a lot of money.

2.) Do not depend on Google Adsense for an income, simply because Google has the power to disable your account at anytime, without notice and without your knowledge or involvement in any fraudulent activity.

My Plea To Google Is:~

1.) Restructure your Adwords and Adsense program. 

2.) The same way you deal with your very own 'invalid clicks' without disabling your own Adwords and Adsense program, is the same way you can help decent people to make money online. Just don't credit peoples accounts if you think the clicks are not valid.

3.) If you have control, and you do Google. Use it to help people, not leave them hanging. After all a lot of people cry out for help when it comes to there computers contracting viruses on the very same open Google web.

4.) Don't disable accounts when you already have the power to the solution.

5.) Don't use this solution for yourself only and leave the same people that put you on the map, that made you who you are today. Don't leave them stranded !!  Google !
